Suhail Iqbal is a Research Scholar at ISGI - ESC Lille, France and a Trainer and Consultant in Pakistan. He is the owner and CEO of SysComp International (Pvt.) Ltd. (www.syscompk.com), a PMI Global Registered Education Provider.
He did his Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Military College of Engineering and Masters in English Literature, Computer Science and Business Administration, Suhail retired from the Pakistan Army in year 2000 after having served twenty years in the Army Corps of Engineers where he gained expertise in Construction, Survey, Geographic Information Systems, Project Management and Quality Management, while also working on computer systems and networks. During this time, Suhail continued his education and obtained degrees and certifications in Computer Science and Project Management. He was then assigned the job of Executive Project Manager amongst the team handling the high profile National Database and Registration Authority. He has the honor to be the member of the teams which pioneered first Digital Mapping and GIS System, and first and Asia's largest National Data Warehouse of the country.
Since his retirement from Pakistan Army, Suhail has been on the visiting faculty of National University of Science and Technology, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Hamdard University, CASE University and Al-Khair University. Suhail is a member of several prestigious international professional organizations, amongst them PMI, IPMA, APFPM, PRMIA, AIPM, ICE, IEEE, BCS, ACM, ASPRS, IE and PEC. He also possesses a number of technical certifications such as PMP, MCT, MCSE, MCDBA, A+ and Network+.
Suhail has over 26 years' of experience in diverse projects ranging from construction to IT, GIS, Data Warehousing, Networking, and standard formulation. He is fluent in English and Urdu languages and has experience of working in multi-cultural and virtual environments. Transitioning from his career in construction, he has worked as a software engineer, system analyst, data manager, project manager and program manager at executive level.
He is a frequent speaker and presenter at PMI Global Congresses, Leadership Institute Meetings, IEEE Engineering Management Conferences and several other Research Conferences worldwide. His PhD research in "A Unified Strategic View of Organizational Maturity" is of particular interest to organizations as well as standard forming bodies.
